I'm still reflecting on the great event of meeting incredible women.  As I do, I would be remiss if I didn't mention such a high energy moderator,  Andrea Griffith Cash, who is the VP of Content for both Chapel Hill Magazine and Durham Magazine.  She embraces everyday life as a vacation here in our great State of North Carolina.  As we prepared for the panel discussion, Andrea asked us several questions for the "get to know you".  She offered great questions to help get to the heart of who we are and how our story relates to the book written by Betsy & Maggie.  Then, she grabbed my heart when she started talking about the "must visit" restaurant list.  My husband's life calling is the food critic so I needed to get her list.  She gave us all "2015 The Visitor's & Relocation Guide" for both Chapel Hill and Durham.  There are so many gems in these guides that are a must especially for us foodies: The Ultimate Checklist -must see attractions, Foodie Paradise, Feast Yourself, Taste and more.  She knows what good food is and shares where to find it.  Limited tickets are available for Taste 2015.  Andrea is definitely "On The Rise" in her career and life.  Join her journey by following her on Twitter.  You will be glad you did!  Thank you Andrea for making the event a great one!  Your high energy, content focus and smile made everyone enjoy the night.  Below is our picture with Andrea, Betsy & Maggie.

We is stronger than I

Last night Teri and I had the honor of being guest panel participants with Betsy and Maggie.  These Ladies are two strong partners that created the book "Power Through Partnerships - How Women Lead Better Together".  As you reflect on strong partnerships, who comes to mind?  As you think through them, how many are two women?  It is rare but they are out there.  Since we all tend to believe stories we've been told and the stereo typing that lies to us in what we should become.  This book inspires us to change the story of how women can work together in a very successful way.  Why a Partnership?  As a solo, you have no coverage for weakness.  Partnership enables you to be bigger than the sum of the two.  What I so loved about our time together last night - ENERGY!  What is it when we look at the greatness in each other that we get so excited and a rush of collaboration rushes over you.  You feel compelled to help out and support each other because you can see the future of potential.  Betsy and Maggie have been friends for years where Teri and I have been together for just one year, yet we felt so connected to the stories and the careful planning a Partnership requires.  We know the journey will continue to compel us to celebrate better together for future success.  Thank you Betsy and Maggie!
Thank you Durham - The Regulator Bookshop for hosting!

We decided to start this blog to give other women the opportunity to learn from and share our experiences as budding entrepreneurs. There are too few women role models in business, especially in partner relationships, and we want to be an inspiration to other women who are considering their professional options.  We intend to share our wins, losses, successes and struggles and hopefully provide some relevant information that can help other would-be entrepreneurs take the leap. We invite you to help make this blog interactive and valuable to our supporters.
